MANGALDAN – This robust and renowned tapa (dried meat) town will have a spike annual budget next year of P165, 088,776.00.
In a copy furnished to this paper by a source who asked anonymity, it said the proposed funds for the next year budget that will be submitted to the Sangguniang Bayan (town council) anytime from now will come from the projected sources like the P4,000,000.00 real property tax; P22,500.000 business taxes and licenses; P300,000.00 occupation tax; P1,350,000.00 community tax; P200,000.00 weights and measures; P1,000,000.00 miscellaneous and other taxes, and P400,000.00 fines and penalties or a total tax revenues of P29,750,000.00.
The funds from the projected regulatory fees would come from P900, 000.00 clearance and certification fees; P3, 300,000 registration fees; P1, 800,00 permit fees or a total of P6,000,000.00.
The projected sources from business and service income would hail from the P180, 000.00 rent income; P750, 000.00 medical, dental, laboratory fees; P500, 000.00 miscellaneous operating and service income; P30, 000.00 interest income; and P127, 878,776.00 shares from the National Internal Revenue (IRA) as based on the share of this town on the national taxes, number of its population, and size of its land area or a total of P165, 088,776.00.
As a requirement in the Local Government Code of 1991 in passing a budget, the administration of Mayor Bonafe de Vera-Parayno would be submitting to the Sangguniang Bayan not only the proposed budget but the revenues collected in years 2012 and 2013.
In the local tax sources, this town collected P26, 502,861.66 in year 2012 and an estimated revenue of 28,750,000.00 in year 2013.
In the regulatory fees, this town collected P6, 854,826.51 in year 2012 and an estimated income of P6, 000,000.00 in 2013.
In business service income tax, this town collected P1, 666,501.85 in year 2012 and an estimated revenue of P1, 460.00.
In its shares from the national internal revenue allotment this municipality collected P96, 596,386.00 in 2012 and P149, 409,385 in year 2013.
In years 2012 and 2013 the annual budget of this town have been P131, 620,576.02 and P149, 409,385.00, respectively.
Meanwhile, last Thursday the Sangguniang Bayan has approved the P3, 683,334.36 supplemental annual investment program (AIP) requested by Mayor Parayno before the end of this year.
P201, 694.60 of the amount will fund the mayor’s urban greening and plaza improvement particularly the children’s park rehabilitation and the repair of the Kiosk; P50,423.65 will finance the disaster risk reduction and management like disaster and mitigation and hazard mapping/monitoring, flood early warning system, and disaster response when it has 30% of the quick response fund; P500,000.00 administrative services in the office of the mayor like the improved supervision of immediate staff and accomplished required tasks and function; a P200,000 on administrative services in the town council like the improved supervision of immediate staff and accomplished required tasks and function; and finally P2,731,216.11 maintenance of public buildings and plaza.
